20 more kilometres of cycling track on the ‘Loire à Vélo’ trail
The "Loire à Vélo" is getting longer. Close to Orléans, 20 more kilometres of cycling track have been added between Châteauneuf and Sully-sur-Loire, for you to cycle in full safety.
Close to the canal and Orléans Forest, ride off to discover the towns and villages on the banks of the Loire. Don’t miss Château de Sully-sur-Loire, a medieval fortress at the gateway to the Loire Valley. A short ride away, you can witness the Romanesque art at the Benedictine abbey of Saint-Benoît-sur-Loire as well as the very first monument of Western Christian art: the Carolingian Oratory in Germigny-des-Prés, built by a close friend of Charlemagne.
This new itinerary comes to an end in Châteauneuf-sur-Loire where you will find the Loire River Museum.
