It is of course the château that has built the reputation of Chambord. Crowds gather to discover the magnificent rooms or its incredible double revolving staircase... And it is via the staircase that you reach the terraces.
The panoramic view from there reveals the other great asset of Chambord: its grounds. They cover some 5,400 ha, which is about the same as the surface area of Paris! So there is plenty of space for walking or cycling along the Cosson or the hundreds of kilometres of trails. You might even catch a glimpse of deer or boar. Wildlife also has its place in this iconic centre of French art...
